Dear Friends and Supporters,

Since its chartering in 1965, Florida International University has been guided by the belief that the most successful public universities in the country are those that are forever relevant to their communities. FIU’s mission- to serve South Florida- continues to be central to our mission. Over the years, the university has enjoyed unparalleled success, most recently with the establishment of South Florida’s first public College of Medicine.

Today, we are laying a path for the future, a bold new vision for FIU in the year 2015: FIU at FIFTY. Our goal is to make FIU one of the top fifteen urban-serving public research universities in the country. This is a bold and ambitious agenda that will only succeed with your support.

As we begin to shape our destiny, we invite you to share your ideas for FIU at FIFTY. I am proud of FIU’s success in providing high quality education and research for our community. But I know we can always do more to exceed your expectations. Tell us what you envision for the university and how we can better serve you.
